I did have issues with the pods that came in the unwrapped black boxes. I didn't order any specific box color. I had always received my Phix pod order in the white plastic wrapped boxes. I had no idea that the color of the box and being wrapped in plastic or not would have anything to do with the taste and ease of the draw for the same exact flavor.
Suddenly, to my surprise, I was receiving the Phix Hard Strawberry pods in black unwrapped boxes for all my orders. Each pod tasted horribly burnt, the fluid was a much darker color and in order to be able to draw at all I had to use a toothpick gently to open the holes at one end and a Qtip to remove leaking fluid around the tiny metal contacts at the other end.
After, reaching out to customer service help, they replaced the bad pods with the pods in the white plastic wrapped boxes. They promised that they also made a note on my account to only send me the pods in the white plastic wrapped boxes. I have not had any issues since.”
