“The SMOK V8 Baby-X4 are excellent coils, but only if used properly. These coils will last much longer than average if you make sure to vape at a wattage lower than the recommended wattage. The only drawback of these coils is that the recommended wattage is inaccurate as it's much too high for these coils.
The recommended wattage is 45w to 60w. IGNORE THAT! Even if you vape at the lower 45w end of the range, these coils will burn so hot that you'll burn your lips and you'll burn out your cotton very quickly. The lowest operating wattage is 30w, but I recommend vaping at 35w to 40w. If you're worried that's not enough power, remember that the resistance is low at only 0.15 ohms, so you'll still get plenty of vapor even with lower wattage.
And that's the beauty of these coils. They don't require much wattage to still produce clouds that are larger than average, and these perform better than the Q2 coils that are included with the SMOK Alien 220w TC Starter Kit. I've found that the Q2 0.4 ohm coils require too much power as they'll leak if you vape at a wattage less than 55w, and then they burn out quickly and burn through juice too quickly.
The X4 coils do not leak at all, even if you vape at a lower wattage, which is excellent. This is mainly because the cotton is packed very tightly so they hold juice well, but this also causes a much tighter draw. To counteract the tight draw, increase the airflow to the maximum setting for a smooth hit that won't burn too hot.
The X4 coils are unique because most of the other 0.15 ohm coils require much higher wattages which causes them to burn out quickly. These X4 coils still satisfy cloud chasers by producing dense vapor even at lower wattages, so it's a win-win situation.
Another advantage to these coils is the flavor. I've noticed that with the Q2 coils, there is a slight moldy cotton aftertaste. The X4 coils really bring out the flavor of the juice without any cotton aftertaste and it's a smooth consistent flavor on every puff.
In summary, as long as you vape these coils at a lower wattage than the recommended 45w and make sure to increase the airflow, these coils are the best bang for your buck. These coils will save battery life by not putting out too many amps, they will conserve juice by holding much of it in the cotton, and they will last a long time and won't burn out too soon because they don't require too much wattage. I highly recommend the SMOK V8 Baby-X4 Coils for use with the SMOK TFV8 Baby Beast Tank and the SMOK Alien 220w TC.”

“These coils are my favorite Smok Baby beast coils. They seem to last me the longest even with the sugary e liquids I use every day. I don’t like the others I tried as much because they burnt out and tasted funky the very first day of use. I have heard it is the sugary sweet liquids that cause this, but those are the only liquids I really like, so I tried all the coils to find the best one for me. I think these also produce the best flavor for my liquids. I use a lot of different kinds of liquid and the flavor is always really good and comparable to the flavor I get with my smaller tank.
