In cases of deeper scratches, milled fibre may be mixed with Resin before adding the catalyst. The mixture should be the same consistency as mayonnaise. This should then be applied into the repair. Once cured, the area may be sanded as required before moving on to the laminating stage. The fibers are compatible with thermoplastic materials (including Teflon*) and thermoset materials such as polyester, phenolic, silicones and epoxy. Milled Fibers are also compatible with most asphalt, putties, patching cements and other coatings.

When used with Poly F-2, polyurethane filler, it helps produce a much smoother final surface than the lumpy surface produced with just Poly Fire-2 filler. mixes into my Polyurethane resin really easily.

Great stuff. I need to make a trim about 3cm wide by 6mm deep with 45 degree chamfered edge and several meters long. So i made the mould did all the usual stuff with matting and resin then to finish the trim so it would have a smooth finish i added some of the powder to resin and topped off the mould. Because of the need for the chamfer the top surface was the one that would be on display and therefor need to be smooth.
