“I’ve replaced most of my P…. Ultra… dim to warm lamps with these. The 3000k color at the high end is better in my eye than the 2700k from the other lamp. At the low end they get just as dim.
The main issue is that two of the ~15 I’ve installed so far buzz at some brightness levels. This happens with both forward and reverse phase dimmers.
Another possible issue is that these plastic guys seem to get hotter than the glass competition.”
“A pair of these bulbs made my game night so much better! I replaced two "brand name" big-box hardware store 800 lumen bulbs in my fixture with these. They are not only brighter (as expected) when turned up, they are surprisingly much dimmer (and orange!) when dimmed down, using an old, no-neutral, pre-LED dimmer. I was shocked how much more *range* these offered than my old bulbs. Energy Star tested these to 95 CRI / 70 R9. The extra couple CRI points certainly help in telling the dark green game pieces from the dark blue game pieces. :) Getting all that from an inexpensive (at time of writing) compact A19 bulb is amazing. The same getting the features, brightness, and color quality from a competitor requires going to a longer A21 bulb size and possible fit issues. Not so here. :)”
