“I bought several of these for replacing old T12's for a neighbor of mine and for my brother. As such there were a two brands of fixture that they were installed in. Both worked out OK but not perfect. With both types the old covers had tabs that fit into the old socket holders on one side and the typical quarter-turn pin on the other. Because the new socket holders didn't have slots running crosswise, I bent out and flattened the tabs on the old covers and then used a self tapping screw to hold that side on. I did appreciate the fact that the new kit came with quick-connects/disconnects to make the installation faster and code compliant.”
“Product worked as described, easy install on existing (2) bulb 8 foot fixture. The only thing they should have included in this kit was a few quarterturns. My old fixture had clips on one end and a quarter turn on the other. With the new tombstones, the old clips needed to be cut off to allow clearance for the tombstones to sit. I wound up just drilling a new hole and using a bolt and wingnut I had laying around, but it would have been nice if the quarterturn was included. Otherwise product works as describes.”
