“This product was recommended by one of their support staff, and it is exactly the simple solution I needed to replace my existing 8' HO fluorescent lighting without changing any of the fixture or sockets that I already have in place. All I needed to do was bypass the ballast, and this was regardless if my existing wiring was shunted or non-shunted. It doesn't matter, the bypass is done the same either way.
In addition, these bulbs were certainly brighter and cleaner light, while reducing the energy needs by 60%. These also create virtually no heat, compared to the fluorescent lights whose ballasts were generating well over 100 degrees of heat each! Now the air conditioner no longer needs to battle with the lights.
