“If you are short sighted then get a prescription mask. I used contact lenses for years- not good for eye health especially when they split and you can't find sliver left in your eye. Specsavers then sold me inserts saying they were better than a prescription mask. What a pile of crap. They don't fit 90% of masks and are impossible to keep free of mist. Aquanauts were great. I have a narrow face so needed to try on the mask- the scubapro fitted well. Also they had one of my prescriptions in stock so was able to check that I could read my gauges. The mask was brilliant underwater. Have not dived in it yet but used it for snorkelling in Playa Blanca and was able to spot rays 20 m down and find my wife in the beach when I emerged from the sea. Was also pleased that the lenses did not fog up so no need to clean with toothpaste.”
