“I've use beaver dust caps and similar plastic caps for my DIN regulators before, and they do exactly what they're made for. I opt for plastic over the metal ones because it is impossible to damage the connections on your cylinder/regulator using a softer material like plastic, but they do exactly the same job. The caps sit very securely on the thread, can't complain.”
