“These shorts are very well made. They are comfortable and robust. The pockets on the other hand can't have had divers involved in their design. On the inside of the pockets the only connection points are two d-rings which are fine in principle, except if you put something (like your wetnotes) in the back pocket and then put other equipment (mask, smb, reels, etc) in the main pocket and clip them on to the d-ring, then you can't reach the wet notes. Well done guys. But the d-rings get worse. On a recent wreck diving trip I had two d-rings just fall off whilst underwater depositing my stuff on the bottom! I didn't believe it was possible and when I looked at it on dry land and wiggled the d-rings a bit to see if it was possible, and found that - not surprisingly - the d-rings came off really easily. The velcro is also not very strong. So I'm cutting the Apek's pockets off and I'm buying Halcyon pockets (again) and sticking them on to my Apek's shorts.”
