“The oiled leather means shoe are is a lot easier and that the shoes cope better with wet weather. Although, with the heavy usage I give the shoes, the soles & heels don't last forever, the shoes are the best wider-than-average-fitting shoes I have found and serve for work & leisure”

“These are good, robust shoes with good quality leather uppers and a proper, grippy rubber sole with a tread that means safe low-level country walking. I would say they are excellent value for money.”

“I have bought these shoes many times before and wear them all the time for work and leisure. They are a wider than average fitting (although it takes about 3 days of wearing them for the leather to flex around my slightly wider feet) and give good support to the arch of my foot which is slightly higher than average. Apart from my walking boots, it's years since I found a more comfortable pair of shoes. When wearing them all day long for 7 days per week with lots of urban walking, a pair tends to last 4 to 6 months before the soles get too thin and the heels wear down, which for the price seems a fair return,”
