This is a miracle cure for the horrible red mite problem. I have 10 coops and around 100 chickens. Treating all the coops was a never ending cycle I couldn't get on top of. If one coop seemed mite free it would soon be reinfested as they would jump on me as I moved around the coops. I was constantly itching and finding mites on my arms and they would always manage to get into my hair. One night I had to get up and spray the bed and pillow and douse myself in Aerogard Tropical to stop them crawling all over me in the night. I tried everything, ivermectin, Pestene, Diatamatious Earth, Avian lice and mite spray, white oil, bleach, pressure cleaning of coops, removing everything from coops including roosts and nest boxes and treating with Insectigone. I tried Maldison, I tried surface spray. I even tried a blow torch and early n I paid a professional pest control company to come and spray every coop. This killed what was crawling around but left no residual effect and the next day it was like nothing was treated. After nearly 3 months I had enough and purchased Exzolt. I emptied all water bowls the night before and made up water fresh in the morning adding 1 mil Exzolt to 1 litre of water. I poured small quantities into the drinking bowls. A couple of hours later I went round and topped up those who had drunk most of the water. I left them with no other water for about 5 hours and it was a hot day so lots of drinking was done. I then replenished with fresh water for the rest of the day. The next day I opened up the wooden door on one of my coops and was greeted with piles of dead red mites all engorged with blood. This was a particularly bad infestation due to having a wooden door. I used this coop to monitor how it was progressing. Each day I observed the gradually decreasing pile of dead mites. On day 7 I repeated the process with the second dose. 3 days later I could find no trace of mites. I have stopped my itching and got the house under control. I wish I'd tried this first. It's a miracle and worth every cent. I will be using twice yearly as a precaution and preventative. Thanks for inventing this. My chickens and I thank you.

Hi Elisabeth, Thankyou for taking the time to sent us such a fantastic review of the Exzolt and I'm so happy that you and your chooks have found the cure for such a persistent and awful problem! You can also relax knowing it has a three month residual effect so, weather dependant, you might not have to redose before everything cools down and red mites stop breeding. Kind regards, Christine & Team - ACS

Amazing product! Yes it’s expensive, but when I consider how much time I have invested in cleaning out, spraying pens, dusting chooks not to mention the chooks discomfort during an infestation, i think the price is well worth it. Easy to administer and no mites in sight.

I was sceptical at first with the cost, especially as I only have 3 chooks but I am so glad I bought this as my mites are gone within a week! Rather than buying products that might work, or might cost me time and money going through multiple different products, I went big from the start and I’m glad I did! I can help my friends if they ever need to kill of their red mites, or keep my coop well maintained. It was extremely effective and now my chooks are happy and not stressed at all, as well as back on the lay!

Hi Lucy! We are so relieved to hear that your chooks are now living their best mite-free life! Don't forget that you can re-administer it in three months to get them through the heat (which mites LOVE). I have passed on your feedback re: cost and bottle size and have hear whispers that a smaller amount might be available in 2023. Fingers crossed!
