“use while out with friends, or just out drinking with family. Gives me the ability to make educated decisions about driving after a few drinks. Even if I don't feel drunk its a good check. Better to findout before then to either hurt someone or a cop finds out for you”
“I use my BACtrack when I go out. Even if I have ordered a car to drive me or I am not the designated driver I like to have an idea on my level of sobriety because I have thought many times I was fine only to get the visual evidence that I am clearly not.”
“It works well and is nice to carry on my car keys. I use it to tell me when I'm in a sort of range where I feel fine but I'll end up blowing a 0.09. It does have a hard time working correctly if someone completely tanked uses it before you. It needs at least 5 minutes of wait time because it'll red much higher than you really are if the person before blows over a .15.”
“I have 3 C6 Keychain breathalyzers and rely on all 3 before I take 3 daily BAC Tests. I have 3 devices to avoid any false positives caused by routine personal cosmetics, bug spray, cleaning supplies etc.
One of my 3 devices kept showing a BAC of 0.008, seemingly "stuck" after multiple attempts when the other 2 devices showed 0.000. I tried to contact a customer service representative without success. The web site has no customer service contact numbers and only has pre-pared FAQ's etc. that do not address non-standard FAQs. One full day after I experienced the "stuck" reading on the device, it started to resume the 0.000 reading.
I still would buy this device again. However, I believe that accessing a customer service rep should be available.
I am, however, very glad I had 3 devices to make an informed decision on the probability of a false positive test. I do recommend having no less than 2 devices to ensure against false positives.”
