“My wife and I have both tried this device multiple times after drinking, and it always shows 0.000 if we wait the suggest 20 minutes before testing. Not a helpful device, since it doesn't show accurate results.”
“I came upon this in the store and thought it would be a good upgrade to replace an older model I've had. Seemed great from the packaging saying you can connect it to your smartphone, that was a main selling point. Nowhere on the packaging does it say that its compatible with only certain phones; I had to find that out once I was trying to download that app and it said that my phone wasn't compatible (which it should be as is running Android 8). Also even figuring out which app was the correct one was a challenge on is own. They only instructions in the manual were to just search BACtrack. The company has 3 separate apps not to mention all the other ones that show up.”
“This is not a toy. It is a very small unit but it is accurate. I think people might think this is a toy from the size of it.Because of the size you can take this unit every where you go. I like that my friends know when they leave my house what there BAC is so they can decide weather it is safe to drive and what they might face.”
“This is my second BACtrack and both have been great. I love that the C6 has both a standalone and bluetooth option. It's great that it still connects to my BACtrack app for details. The standalone option is great if you're just out with friends and having a good time and want to easily keep track of your BAC.”
“I got the BACtrack as a birthday gift and now won't go to a bar without it. Fast, accurate, and a lot of fun--every time I use it, I get asked by at least 5 people to try it out. I can only imagine what kind of trouble this little guy has stopped me from getting into.”
“A great concept, if it works. I had an early model, which wasn't app connected and used it successfully for a few years. So I do know how to use this thing, but this new model only works intermittently, at best. If you don't blow with precisely the right velocity you get an error and have to start all over again. A huge pain. Very disappointed.”
“I had a few drinks and compared the results to a different breathalyzer. It read less than half. I kept drinking. Its results were completely repeatable. But always half of the other unit I have. I kept drinking. I got pretty drunk. This unit still scored 0.07 and the other type unit was up to 0.18. While the units results were repeatable, the result was useless.”
