“Let's you monitor the effect that alcohol has on you BAC, one drink @ a time. PRICELESS. Not only would I recommend a BACtrack device, I'd buy a friend one.”
“Have used the BACtrack several times. Tested with no alcohol consumption and various levels of consumption. The readings seem to be consistent and within reason based on the number of drinks. What I have no way to gauge is if the readings themselves are accurate compared to a police BAC test.”
“Follow the instructions. Wait 15 mins after drinking, smoking, eating before testing. Test before drinking, after one drink, two drinks, etc. test at end of drinking. Establish a baseline for yourself on how your body processes alcohol. When used correctly, this nifty and cheap device can accurately measure your level of intoxication. I wouldnt trust it to use in a "should I drive?" Scenario, but it helps to recognize how your body reacts to intoxication- ie. how many it takes to put you over the limit. I found that after 2 glasses of red wine i am at 0.07! Ive driven on 2 glasses of wine before, i know better now. Wonderful for education, whenever i test myself, everyone around wants a go! Would buy again.”
“Quick, easy, no excuses. A must to have with you when partying or just going out for a few.
Accurate readings save lives. Purchased for my sons and son in law for Xmas for their safety and safety of their friends.”
“I bought this for two reasons, to see which one of my friends were drunker and to make sure we all got safe. As soon as it came in, my friends and I started drinking heavily and using the Backtrack to see who was more drunker, like typical college kids. It started off fairly accurate, but it would go crazy sometimes. My friend was really drunk so we made him blow, he blew a 0.07. He chugged a beer, waited 15 minutes and blew again, 0.04. There was no way he was more sober. This has happened numerous times. But overall, it has kept my friends and I safe while being a fun party tool. I now breathalyze all my friends if they;re driving to make sure they stay alive and well.
I wish I could try the more expensive Bactracks, but this is what I could afford. It's not 100% accurate, but we use it as hand rails. And no piece of technology can replace good judgement. Even if it's a bit inaccurate at times, it's still a great tool to have at your disposal.”
