“I bought my entire family these small breathalyzers for Christmas stocking gifts. That was two years ago! We have made it a habit to use it before driving. Valuable tool to see what/how much is your limit. We recently had to replace one of them, but overall I really believe this is a must-have item. It's small so easy to carry in purse, pocket or car.”
“I bought and used one regularly. I then bought a second, for a backup when recalibrating the first. The 2 differed by up to .05%, the first was still consistent with when I bought it. I sent one in for calibration 9/11/14. It is now 9/22/14. Hasn't been returned yet. At this point, judgement reserved.”
“Just tried for first time with a nice glass of wine. It was a generous pour, balloon half full rather than a third. I'm 6'0" 190lbs. Blew a .03%. Looked up Dose-specific effects in manual. "Slight euphoria, loss of shyness, depressant effects are not apparent." Perfect description. I've always wanted to know what my blood-alcohol level was at various levels of drinking. Now I'm educated at what % I'm at and the level of impairment. I can now go out wit confidence and also convince friends who've had too much to take test and not risk driving. I understand it costs around $10,000 to fight a DUI. Awesome product! Keeping this in car.”
“I love this little guy. It's taught me a lot about how my body processes alcohol.
I find that if I drink a lot for a few days, my body will go down to processing out .01
per hour, and sometimes will not process at all for 2-3 hours, not the common thought .02.
Sleep, since your metabolism is so slow, is not a great way to drop your BAC.
There are things I can do to increase my bodies speed to get rid of alcohol.
Exercise, coffee enemas, coffee, anything that speeds up my metabolism, and clears my food track, and intestinal track. The less I drink the faster my body gets rid of alcohol, and Vice Versa.
I have a friend that can't stop drinking, because of seizure threat. She is going to buy one to monitor her BAC, as she tries to back off drinking.
GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT PRICE.”
“Very convenient size. Easy to get a reading. Seems to work well at times, but also clearly inaccurate at others. For example, 9 hours after last drink consumed, it gave the same reading for 3 consecutive hours. All humans remove alcohol at .016% per hour, so reading should've reduced approximately .03 during that time period.”
“I bought this product a month ago and only opened it up this week, after the first few tries it started failing 3 times out of 5 and gave random BAC readings.
Disappointed.”
