“I like knowing what my BAC is and was surprised at how long that there was measurable alcohol in me. I use it often and it helps keep me aware of my state of sobriety.
I'd much prefer knowing that my data was completely private; I don't like the dependency on an internet connection to save my data, it should be saved locally only. Also, the case is made in China, I do my best not to buy things made in China (which is very difficult to do).”
“I have tested the device against reference standards and have found the measurement uncertainty to be small < 0.002. Bias is significant, but when present tends to slightly overestimate. After sending it in for recalibration, bias was diminished. The natural variability is small SD=< 0.001 at the 0.08 g210l level.”
“I love it, but the mapping function doesn't work any longer and i wish the BACTrack mobile had an LED display on it's side so you don't have to have your phone to get a BAC reading. Also, it would be nice if there was a visual indicator on the device or the app that tells you when recalibrating is necessary.”
