“I'm from australia and had lost my license for drink driving. One requirement when I got my license back was to have a breathalyser installed into my car for 6 months, and this was an official government piece of hardware. When the 6 months was up, I still couldn't drive with a BAC of more than 0.00% for the next 2.5 years, so I looked into getting myself a handheld device.
I got my BACtrack a month before my cars device was removed, and there was never a time that I blew 0 in my BACtrack, that I didn't blow zero in my car.... and there were a few times which I thought I might.
It's so small you can even take it in your back pocket when out for a couple of drinks. The battery lasts forever, i've only charged it once in the 6 months I've had it. Not that you should drive if you think you've had too much to drink, but this thing definitely confirms with you whether you should or not, and for such a low price it's really proved it's value.
The only thing I would say is that, when researching the product before buying; it wasn't that visible that it needs to be sent back to the manufacturer for re-calibration around once a year. And seeing as i'm from Australia, i'm not too sure how i'll go getting it to San Fran and back in a reasonable timeframe, and for a reasonable postage price. But apart from that, i'd recommend this to anyone that thinks that sometimes they might misjudge their BAC and drive anyway. For a couple of hundred bucks, it can save a HUGE amount of burden on your life.... trust me I know.”
“I've had this for about 6 months now and I have nothing but great things to say. It's done a great job keeping me safe when I have to drive and it keeps me from getting hung over when I do drink. It's easy to take a reading and know when to say when, even if your body isn't telling you. The battery is amazing too. I took it out of the box and used it often for 3-4 months before I charged it. I didn't even know if it was necessary but I was going on a trip and wanted to be safe. I think everyone that drinks alcohol, no matter how much, should own this. It keeps you safe and helps you learn your limits. And it can also keep you out of hand cuffs.”

Unfortunately I lost it...I wish there was a tracking feature or a bluetooth feature where it would beep if you walked away from it, because it's pretty small and somehow I lost it.”
