“I have an ignition interlock device in my car. If I would've purchased this awhile ago it would've prevented me from getting a DWI. It also helps to know your body processes approximately 0.016 per hour. Get your BAC with a BACtrack and divide by the above number to get the time needed to be sober. Only thing I wish I would've done differently is ordered one that calculates that for you automatically. Also, be sure to get a professional grade device. Saves lives and money.”
“If you have an ignition interlock system on your car I'm letting you know now this thing will read you a bac of ZERO if you have a really low bac. Several times I've had a bac of .004 or lower, and it told me I had .000. I also have an element, and while the scout will read .000 the element will read .009-.012, so neither are accurate. I've had both calibrated recently, and this is still an issue. It's been to read too high than to low in my situation, but if I didn't have the element to tell me I actually had something in my blood I probably would have already list my license. However the element will act up, and read .007-.012 for hours at a time even when I'm at .000, so there are time I really don't know if I'm good, or not. I just have to wait to see if the element reading goes down, and if it doesn't then I know it's giving me a false positive. When that happens, it's usually the next day before the element starts working properly again. It can be a real pain sometimes, so I wouldn't recommend either to be honest. Like I said I've had both calibrated too, so at the price they are it's unacceptable, and I'm switching brands in hopes of finding something more reliable.”
“I have a conditional license with a blow n go meaning if I blow in it with"any" alcohol at all I can lose my license. The scout has repeatedly on several occasions read a zero, and I've gotten a warning on the ignition interlock system meaning I have a .004 back, or below. For the price this thing should NEVER give a false positive. I also have owned 2 elements that read waaaaaay higher than my actual bac. I use both of them The scout, and the element before starting my car, and the scout will read zero, at times while the element reads 0.012, that's a big difference, when in fact my actual bac is Oroville asking the lines of 0.002, so neither one of them are close. I'm switching to alcomate now. See if their's are any better.”
“This product is accurate & reliable. I didn't want to guess if my BAC was back to zero or not anymore before driving so I got this little guy. Very helpful!”
