“I bought two of these, one for my wife and one for myself, and we have been very pleased with them so far. The inverted LED screen is great, and the overall quality seems very good. I compared results across the two devices and got the exact same reading, which is reassuring of their accuracy. I do wish, though, that there was an easy way to know for sure when the device needs to be sent in for recalibration. But overall, I've been really happy with the Trace and would recommend it to anyone.”
“Great apparatus. I use it wisely to determine a responsible range to drive after a couple of drinks. You can find your baseline by experimenting at home so you know how alcohol interacts in your body using this device.”
“After only 3 glasses of red wine over 3 hours at a restaurant I got pulled over and blew a .09. Women process slower, blood alcohol climbs as you sit and bottom line you can feel fine and you aren't. After that experience I now either don't drink or test when I do. This is my second unit and it is great. Just keep in my purse and it saves my butt and my friends butt. Just knowing when to sit a bit longer to get in to the safe zone is WORTH IT. Easy to use, seemingly accurate, and has the ability to save a first time offender $10,000 and a second time $20,000! BAC is the real deal.”
“I purposely used it after 1 beer, then 2, and then 3. I carefully obtained the readings so I know my baseline drinking measures. This device offers the feeling of security BEFORE you get into your car and If you should call for a ride. I make sure I'm 2one hundredths differential before I leave.”
“The fine print comes in the box; not on this website. This site says that this unit has police grade technology and that it meets Federal requirements for a breath alcohol screening device. The fine print that comes with the unit says that its results can not be used in court. Once received, I felt a little deceived as to what I had purchased and thought the website should be upfront with that information.”
