“This apparently needs to be recalibrated.
I have used it less than 300 times an it shows a different BAC than another monitor I purchased from your company.”
“I have a friend who is a County Police Officer and I tested by BACtrack against his "official device" and the numbers matched perfectly EVERY time!
You will absolutely know what your BAC is for certain - anytime, anywhere.”
“I was out having a good time with a buddy at the club and after we left I used the device to test my level. It read a .085, so I decided to do some simple exercises and jogged down the road to the convenience store to get a bottle of water. I finished half of the bottle and tested my level again and it read a .070. I decided to trust the device and drive to that buddy's house. I had never been pulled over for suspected DUI before, so it was coincidental that this was the first time I put the device to its true test. (I'd only tested at home a week or so before, and only managed to get up to .0590) I drove about 3 miles and a police officer was following me most of the time. He must have seen me pull out of the club because when he pulled me over, he said I was wavering in my lane (which is sort of unavoidable even when sober because of the touchy sport tuned steering of my vehicle) and said I didn't stop at the flashing stop light at the proper spot (which is BS), anyway, he seemed determined to get me for DUI. He pulled me over and asked if I'd been drinking. I show him the BACtrack and said that I verified my level before heading out. He asks me to get out of the vehicle and has me do the field sobriety test. Sure enough, by the time he takes my breath reading, my level read dun dun dun.... below .07! This device works and saved me easily thousands of dollars and court/ lawyer visits. Definitely lets me relax knowing my own personal limits and allows me to know when it's time to wait or call a buddy for a ride. Do yourself a favor and buy this device.”
“I purchased the BAC Trace and the BAC S80. Both give consistent readings, but the Trace is consistently .006 to .008 higher than the S80. Which one is more accurate, I don't really want to find out so I go by the Trace reading.”
“I purchased this product with the intent of carrying it with me to monitor my BAC during nights out, as I tend to drink over my limit. However, there's no way I can sneak off to the bathroom to discreetly test my BAC because it makes loud beeping noises and is really obvious. There isn't a way to turn the sound off to my knowledge; I wish BACtrack would make this an option, or at least help me find a product that is more discreet.”
