“If you've had anything to drink within an hour of testing, the s30 will report your B.A.C. way too high. If you wait an hour to test, you'll get a more accurate result. But who waits that long at a pub before driving home? For me, this makes the product laughable and impractical.”
“It can be difficult to discern if you are over the legal limit when you have been to dinner and had a few glasses of wine. It is good to know when you leave that restaurant that you are not "drunk". It has been very interesting when friends have tried it and found that they were legally drunk when they felt fine to drive. This device is affordable, seems fairly accurate, and is easy to use. Just follow the instructions, be sure you are below the legal limit before driving, and you'll be safer and not run the risk of spending the night in jail!”
“I think the S30 is accurate now (I had some doubts, as my ex girlfriend would blow a .25 at times and I though no way. Not thinking that anymore (lol). I loved it when she said I drink too much and I said ok, haw does that explain your .193 and mine at .000 . Puts it as it is. I love the truth, good or bad (or ugly, movie) and this unit brings it out. It's pretty repeatable, particularly if you take a drink of water before using it, couple of good breaths first and wait a minimum of 20 minutes, really should go 30 min or so. Just set you phone's timer for 30 min or a little more, don't eat, drink, smoke (I don't anyway) during that time. Sounds like fun, doesn't it but goes by pretty quickly if you're not already there. Oh, I noticed my Listerine All Care mouthwash drives it crazy, even though I waited until the time to use should be good. The company has (or had at least) a re-certified one for quite a savings. So look for that unless you need a fancy box and printed manual (manual is online, read it once, won't need it again)”
