“Seemed great at first, but the sensors go bad after a couple of years. They mention that they recommend getting it calibrated every 6-12 months or it could be less reliable (I sent mine back after 18 months), but what they don't mention is that the sensor can just go bad if you don't do that. It can also just go bad depending on how it's stored, or how often it's used, etc. They don't even give you a real idea of what can cause it to go bad, just a couple general examples. When that happens, you're SOL. They make it seem like it's your fault too, the customer didn't properly maintain the product (which were only suggestions not warnings), therefor it's their fault. Plus there is no option to fix it, replace the sensor, refurbish etc. They just give you a discount to buy a brand new one. I'm sure they then flip your old one and resell it as "refurbished" for more profit. They seem like a good reputable brand from the outside, but once you actually see their true colors you can tell they're a pretty lousy company who doesn't really care about their customers. In fact, I even had another device I had purchased for a friend, which I'm returning since I don't want my friend to have to go through this bs. I'd recommend going with a better brand that isn't out to rip you off. Read through the bad reviews and you'll see many people with the same complaint yet the company has done nothing to make it better.”
“This unit is great. I trust it to be accurate. Law enforcement and hospitals use this unit. I sent my unity in for a calibration and had the unit back to me in 8 days from day it was sent. Pretty fast service. I would recommend this unit, I have tried other cheaper unit but I would spend a little more for accuracy.”
“After a brief and unpleasant encounter with another brand I got the BACtrack unit and have been very satisfied. I trust this unit to give me the information I need to determine whether I should drive, or call an Uber. I still have a bit of a question as to how anyone knows whether the readings are accurate but that is shared among all devices of this type.”
“Your device brings the TRUTH into the light of day .08 is about 2 beers and a shot whereas the portrayals by liquor companies and even PSAs is a sloppy drunk falling diwn. This is WRONG and colusion at best by both to trick the honest citizen into believing he/she is OK but in fact is probably already .10 or more. Thank YOU for putting tools in My/Our hands to be sure and safe and NOT get trapped into the DUI crushing machine. Ask yourself "Why doesn't EVERY bar have one before you leave?" Simple. They arent held "accountable" but YOU are = Tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. And YOUR fault will cost YOU forever and ever. Protect Yourself and everyone you know with Education and this device IN YOUR CAR Always. Or Uber everywhere you go. Thank you BACtrack !!!!”
