“I received my replacement breathalyzer, BacTrack Pro 80, several months ago. I don't drink out too much or very often so didn't try it out until recently. Interesting enough, the mouth pieces are a bit bigger which require a larger volume of air..... I have a paralyzed vocal cord and cannot seem to offer the breathalyzer enough flo to make it operate without a considerable amount of effort if at all ...... and my partner has asthma and has documented decreased lung function and was not able to offer enough air with any amount of effort. Any suggestions?”
“Me and my husband love it. Compact, efficient, and easy to use. The zipper case is an added plus. A better understanding of our limits of alcohol consumption. Loaned it out to my co-worker and she was very shocked by her BAC numbers and is re-evaluating how she drinks. This would be a great addition to home parties; to be sure of safe divers when they leave. I recommend this product.”
“This is my third bactrack. The first two were off by .02 so I thought a third would tell which of the other two was reading incorrectly. The new one is .02 off of both the other two. Now I have three that read from .04 to .05 to .08 in the same 5 minute window of time.
Very disappointed.”
“Recently, the cops stopped me. I was given a test of alcohol. Before that, I drank one beer. I asked them whether I can blow on my Backtrack s80 before testing with police breathalyzer. Backtrack s80 showed 0.025 BAC. Then I was blowing with a police breathalyzer, which showed 0,024 BAC. The cops asked me where I bought the device and they have been surprised with the exact result. :)”
