I have put it through multiple simulations to see if it would progressively read my BAC both up and down in a systematic way. It does just that and it is simple to use.
What I really found amazing was how high my BAC read even though I felt just minor impairment. If you want to know just how easy it is to misjudge your intoxication buy this. If you regularly consume alcohol (even on a social basis) you will quickly learn that over time you will absolutely loose the ability to judge your own impairment level. This machine will help you monitor where you are at - it could stop you from making a terrible mistake such as driving or engaging in any other activity that requires a significant level of skill and judgement. It will also drill home to you that in general most of us (including me) consume way to many drinks in one sitting. This product is well priced and worth every penny.! Buy it if you have the money and regularly or semi-regularly consume alcohol because you will finally get an accurate fix on your drinking pattern and will reach the unmistakable conclusion that you can still drink but you need to monitor your BAC so you don't overdo ...AND you are probably overdoing it right now and need to make adjustments in the amount you consume..”

“As someone who may find himself on more than one occasion per week having a casual drink with friends, family, or clients, I never really knew how those drinks were affecting my BAC. I don't want to put mine or someone else's life in jeopardy by making a poor decision, so I decided to purchase a BACtrack S-80 model after doing some extensive research.
The device itself is very easy to use and provides a reading within seconds. It is lightweight and fits in the hand easily. The case is a nice touch, too. The beeps clearly guide you when to start and stop blowing. After some self-testing at home to gauge its accuracy (which I didn't mind doing), my BAC seemed to increase proportionally and fairly evenly with the number of drinks I had consumed. Do what the instructions advise and wait 20 minutes after your last drink before blowing. To test this, I blew only a minute after one drink and my reading was through the roof (0.15 vs. 0.018 after waiting 20 minutes). I haven't had the device long enough to go through the calibration process, but I have been very pleased with its performance and ease of use so far. The price paid for this device doesn't seem too steep considering the consequences of not knowing.”
“I received a DUI for 0.06. Go figure. My insurance is completely unchanged, but I got a 5 year zero tolerance sentence, which means that 0.01 is a violation and I go to jail and potentially lose my car. Bad scene and I can not take any risks. I still drink occasionally but will not even get close to a car if I register anything but 0.00.
