BACtrack S80 Reviews

4.7 Rating 660 Reviews
As a recipient of a DWI, I purchased the S80 a year ago and it has been very reliable. As directed I returned my unit for its annual maintenance removing the batteries and the blow tube. It was returned within a week and to my surprise contained batteries and a nice case. Who know I would more back than I sent in? But the real value is in the unit. Only wish I would have been smart enough to get serious about checking my blood alcohol level BEFORE the DUI. Thanks BACtrack.

I got my S80 as a gift from my Mom two years ago. It usually just stays in my purse all the time, especially if I know I'm going out. I always test myself to be sure where I'm at through out the night. I also test anyone who is driving me! My friends love to use it as much as I do. It is a life saver, literally! Last week I sent my unit in to be calibrated. Well, unfortunately, they could not calibrate my unit for some reason. So they sent me a BRAND NEW ONE. Awesome customer service!! I love mine and would recommend to any and everyone. You may not need it all the time, but it's great to have when you do need it.

Purchase process was easy. Product turned up very quickly despite being just before Christmas. Once you get the hang on the different modes the product is a quick and reliable way of judging blood alcohol. Changing between measurement modes is a bit fiddly but otherwise product couldn't be easier to use

I bought it about a month ago, and the night before I had 2 glasses of wine. Went to test myself in the morning and it showed a Zero for the result. That can't be possible since it takes 24 hours to at least show a zero.

Wish we had bought this earlier and then units for the whole family. This is a very easy way to know who should be behind the wheel and who shouldn't. Plus at some dinner parties a real education for some of the "i'm fine" people who blew 0.15!

I bought this device four years ago and just recently had to replace it because I never sent it in to be calibrated and the sensors wore out. I bought it after a DWI incident because I knew I had not enough to drink to be impaired/arrested/convicted. What I learned is that, especially in NY it doesn't matter, if you blow 0.04% you are DUI and 0.08% for DWI and guess what? It takes very little alcohol to get you there. If you have the privilege to drive you have the responsibility to keep yourself and others safe on the road and this device allows you to do that. I have pulled it out at restaurants or parties to spark the interest of someone I KNOW should not be driving and kept them from doing so. Everyone should have one. $150 is alot cheaper than $13,000 for a DWI. GET ONE!!!

We bought this after a good friend of ours got a DUI. We always have a designated driver, but didn't realize that every persons BAC varies & that ONE drink could put you over the .08 level depending on food intake and other variables. This has made us more aware of our tolerance and the amount of time needed to be safe behind the wheel.

This is my 2nd BT device. First one was an S70 which lasted about 3 years before it couldn't be recalibrated anymore. Replaced it with the Pro-Series which I hope will prove as easy on batteries but more durable than the Elite series.
