“I bought this a month ago, and it has already paid for itself. I have a Smart Start ignition interlock installed in my car, which can be tripped with as little as one beer. The cost to reset the interlock is $80 and now I can check my BAC prior to starting the car. Great after a night of "one too many"!”
“I bought a BACtrack S80 about six month ago and we have used it often. We have a strict policy in my family of not operating machinery or any vehicle while legally intoxicated. The BACtrack S80 provides a quick analysis of a person's breath alcohol content, after having a few drinks, to determine if your are legal to drive. We have also used the breathalyzer when we had friend over for parties, to determine if they could drive home safely or if they needed another driver. I liked the unit so will I purchased another one and shipped it to my son that lives in another state.”
“So far this is a cool device. Compact, easy to use. But it does seem to read a little low. There are times when we test it at home 20-30 minutes after we have a few drinks. We feel intoxicated and would not drive a car but it only read .03-.06. I would not trust it to determine if you are safe to drive a car.”
“I purchased the BACtrack S80 for the safety of myself and friends. The description of fuel cell technology and sampling pump made me think this was a cut above the semiconductor sensor devices that I have seen before. I am not disappointed. The S80 is a well built and sophisticated device. The precision of the unit evidenced by the consistency and repeatability of the readings. Make sure the mouthpiece is securely inserted in the socket. If loose, it will read false.”
“I am extremely impressed with this product. It's very easy to use and came with a very durable case. The downside is that it lets me know I am a light weight and need to slow down my drinking. That's my own problem and not the product. However, using this product on a regular basis has been beneficial to a change in my lifestyle.”
“reliable, dependable and saves lives. The breathalyzer must be accountable when there are lives at risk. It is on point and must be updated for $20 every 6 months to a year”
“Bought last summer and after having it calibrated in the fall has worked wonderfully. Very cheap piece of mind for me. Miss it when in our other vehicle so maybe I just need another.”
