“My son turned 21 years old recently and the pier pressure was so strong from his friends. I have expressed over and over how important it is to NOT Drink and Drive. So this product gives me peace of mind. The rule is if you are going to drink then test yourself before driving and again when he comes home. “When I received the S80 I followed the instructions which stated "Blow through the mouthpiece for five seconds until there is a double beep sound". Instead of a double beep sound the first sound I heard was a continuous beep so I stopped blowing and the display showed the FLo error message. Believing it was defective I returned the unit for a replacement but I later found out on the web site that the continuous beep meant that the air flow was adequate and to keep blowing until you hear the double beep sound. The manual should be updated or an insert included explaining the proper operation to avoid unnecessary product returns.”
“We purchased the S80 online and when we received the breathalyzer it was defective. We contacted BACtrack and they immediately sent a replacement - no questions asked and no problems with the exchange. We have used the new S80 for several months on a fairly frequent basis and have had absolutely no performance issues. This is always a hit at get togethers and we are able to monitor when we and/or our friends can safely be on the road after a party. Although we understand it is not legal, we at least know about where our blood alcohol levels are and are able to make a determination as to when it might be safe to be driving.”
