“Still breaking these in but they are great. Comfy as soon as I put them on. I have a very high instep so I often struggle with long boots but managed to get these on. Great for dog walking. Keep your feet warm and dry. I bought a pair of similar boots 10 years ago from a company beginning with W for the same price as these are today. If these Bareback boots last as long I'll be very pleased.”

“I initially considered giving zero stars, as I returned these boots, but I’m giving three—one for the packaging, one for the quality of the leather, and one for the smooth returns process. Unfortunately, beyond those positives, this is not a boot I can recommend. While the leather is high-quality, the comfort and fit leave much to be desired. These boots are more suited for display than for wearing. I have very slim legs, but the fit was still extremely tight. I even had to remove the soft insole just to make them somewhat bearable, as the inside is hard with no flexibility. Despite having a narrow foot, they were uncomfortably snug. By contrast, I bought a similar-looking pair at a horse show for half the price, and they were immediately comfortable. With these boots, you'd likely need to endure a long break-in period—while suffering through lack of circulation in your calf and blisters before they might become semi-comfortable. Sadly, they just weren’t worth the money for me.”

“I’ve been looking for a well-fitting pair of tall waterproof leather boots for a while. Generally I’ve found they’re just too wide so gape like wellies. Hudson Storm boots fit the bill. Being able to change the calf width with the buckles is a game changer. They’re still wider than a close fitting riding boot due to the zip gusset but I reckon this is as good as it gets. They’re already wet and mucky and look even better through use. Thank you Bareback Footwear.”
