“This course is fantastic! Moore is brilliant, funny and inspiring, and he uses his superlative storytelling talents to make each lecture fascinating. As a wannabe writer, I have read a number of books and watched "Great Courses" lectures on the subject, and this is far superior to anything I've encountered. By the time I got to his lectures about place (Lessons 19 and 20), I found myself thinking, "Y'know, I might just be able to do this!" (apply his lessons to my writing). I am re-reading his book "Jerusalem" (at the 67% mark as of today) while listening to this course, and it lets me see examples of the principles and techniques he talks about in the lectures. He's definitely more Baudelaire than Hemingway. If you offer a second Alan Moore course I would gladly sign up for it. Thank you for offering this inspiring and entertaining set of lectures.”

“One of the most helpful and easily the most fascinating writing course available. Regardless of where you are in your writing career, if you're serious about writing, Alan Moore's course is a must.

“I enjoy learning from someone whos both a master and unconventional. In the world of writing Alan Moore is both at peak level. Its nice to get solid advice from someone im on the same wavelength of. The system sucks and public schools failed me, so an online course with Alan is my best bet for learning skills that will move me ahead in my arts. Hes extremely informative and equally eccentric. Thats my dude.”

“Everything. The cinematography is beautiful and dynamic. The editing is succinct and engaging. And, of course, Alan Moore - both in the substance of his teaching and his mode of delivery - could not be a better teacher and storyteller.”
