I liked Mark's presentation. He explained a pretty technical subject clearly and with enthusiasm. His breakdown of the creative process was beneficial. I'm am an amateur song writer and his explanations were helpful. You could clearly see he is a music fan doing something he loves.

Review: Mark Ronson's Music Production Course - A Deep Dive into the Realm of Sound In the bustling sphere of online courses, every so often there comes one that strikes a chord, quite literally. Mark Ronson's Music Production course does just that, and I came away enlightened on myriad facets of the musical craft. Here's a brief run-through of the top ten takeaways: Guitar Varieties: With an assortment of guitars at his disposal, Ronson provided a vivid understanding of the distinctive sounds they can produce. It's not just about strings and wood, but the soul they embody. From Beat to Track: The magic of morphing a simple drum beat into an all-encompassing music track was unveiled. The transformation, under Ronson's touch, seemed both profound and effortless. Pro Tools Over WaveLab: Ronson introduced the uninitiated, like me, to the wonders of Pro Tools. I had previously splurged on WaveLab Pro for mastering music, only to realize its limited scope through this course. Pro Tools, it turns out, is a more comprehensive solution with built-in mastering capabilities. The Power of Collaboration: His anecdote about Amy Winehouse crafting a detailed music score sheet in just an hour was a testament to the art of teamwork and the genius of some collaborators. Synth Show and Tell: A journey into the world of vintage synthesizers was a nostalgic trip down memory lane, with Ronson's personal collection offering a tactile connection to music history. 15 Years and Counting: Ronson's proficiency with Pro Tools was awe-inspiring, but he humbly attributed it to his extensive experience. A poignant reminder that mastery comes with time. Return to Roots: Learning that he re-rented the very studio he once shared with Amy Winehouse post-Covid was a heartwarming reflection on the power of spaces and memories. Production Principles: Ronson possesses an uncanny ability to simplify the complex world of music production. From his curved keyboard with a mysterious round ball to the principles behind song creation, he turned the intimidating into the accessible. Wall of Pianos: His striking visual of pianos arrayed vertically was not just for show. His assurance that one need not be an expert pianist but rather understand basic chords was comforting. However, Ronson's fluidity hinted at an underlying expertise that, while seemingly straightforward, is rooted in years of practice. Family Ties: A fleeting mention of his stepdad influencing his guitar leanings was a reminder that personal histories often play a part in our artistic journeys. In summation, Mark Ronson’s course was a resonant medley of instruction, inspiration, and personal insights. While the journey of music production might be long and intricate, with teachers like Ronson, one feels equipped to embark upon it. To budding producers and enthusiasts alike: Dive in, and as I've come to learn, let the music guide you. Thank you, Mark. Warmly, Ade Talabi

A fantastic opportunity to get in the studio with Mark Ronson and hear his thought processes and learned skills during the full production of a song. I was warmed to see that his approach and his conclusions were not far from my own which is confidence inspiring. His highly likeable presentation is very personal and very informative. There is not much room for technical basics but as an insight into producing from one of the world’s best, yet very modest, Producers is priceless.
