“I like the way Lee Child carries himself: he comes across as engaged in the subject matter, and interested in me, the student. This is the first course where I find that the person giving it, actually talks the real talk, if that makes any sense. Usually I'm left with the feeling "Okay, you've been talking a lot, but didn't say very much, I'm not any the wiser. I'm on lesson 21, and am sad there are only 14 lessons left to go. I want to learn more. Every lesson I've been sitting on the edge of my seat: wasn't playing with my phone or browsing other websites. It was a nice to surprise to find out that Mr Child did and does some of the same things as I did/do (reading cereal boxes, just to have something to read, for instance. And the advice to read what you have written out loud, I have found that as a feature in my word processor, so I can become the reader/listener, which helps me even more with the fine tuning of my writing, and helps preserve my vocal cords :))
Through this course I've also gained a lot of insight into myself as a person, and as a writer, and I've managed to clear up some out of date thought patterns about myself as a person and a writer.
I'm still not sure if I'll be writing thrillers, don't know if I have that in me, but there are other genres that can be serialized. But, who knows, maybe by the end of the course my self confidence will be such, that I just might give it a try.
There is so much more I could write, but I think I've covered the most important parts of my experience.”

“I loved the course. Lee addresses all the key areas of learning that I've identified for myself. Listening to his experiences in the business was fascinating, working through his activities was motivating as well as his face-to-face style being educational and engaging.”

“Lee Childs shares many examples during the development stage before beginning to write a successful series. You must have a good grasp of what and who you're going to write about before you start.”
