“You can't get a better known more experienced stand up comedy artist than Billy it's an honour to be able to absorb his pearls of wisdom. He knows his hayday is over but he reminisces about his life and drops nuggets of brilliance in along the way. One of the most amazing takeaways for me was about how he cant stand hecklers - they ruin the cnnection - because he takes his time to weave the audience into one big person to relate to - which is funny too because he's known as "the big yin"”

“I knew this would be funny and enlightening. It lived up to that promise. But it showed you the man and why his comedy is beyond compare. He is himself. He is unique and he does this thing where he encourages you to be the same, without sounding like a self help guru. He wants you to be your best because he cares about you being your best. I think you'll love this course. And we love him.”
What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course?

“Billy Connolly is a comedy legend, and I greatly admire the way in which he deals with his Parkinson's diagnosis. However, this has clearly impacted on the way that this course is taught. In other courses I have watched, there are interactions between the Maestro and people studying the subject in which s/he is an expert. In the case of the comedy course, it consists solely of Billy talking about his career and experiences, intercut with some of his performances. I didn't feel it gave me much insight into the craft of constructing a stand-up repertoire. It felt mostly like, a series of anecdotes and reminiscences.”

“I really enjoyed this course by Billy Connolly, I rush to my laptop to finish it. I laugh with him and some snippets are very moving. Though I do not do commedy, I feel related to the art. Like I want to edge something to the brink, and feel bursted out of something in my writing. Maybe I will be brave and do some comedy slots in open-mics sometime, because I find this art can be so spontenous and so necessary to keep my mind sharp and quick.”

“Massive fan of Sir Billy Connelly, which initially interested me but also wanted to learn more about trying stand up. I am currently doing a short stand up comedy course at the weekends, so this is a nice bit of supportive studying around that.
Great hearing about his journey and experiences: Definitely an insight into this very challenging but exciting arena. Would reccommend to people who want to know more about starting in this industry.”
