Enjoyed Portrait Painting a lot. Even my 11 year old granddaughter joined me. She loved it too.

Fascinating insights. Enjoying greatly. Personal ways he paints and approaches portraits. Never prescriptive.

I am still in the midst of viewing the videos, but have read through the entire notes that go along with them. I must say I am anxious to get going on testing what I believe will help my work. In other words, it's time to start doing. That energy in itself was worth the price of the class. Time will tell, but in the meantime, many Thanks to Mr. Yeo for my added enthusiasm.

Yeo's unconventional approach to painting is pretty refreshing. In spite of his idiosyncratic studio techniques, his insights on what works and doesn't work are very high-level and worthwhile. I will view it again.

not so much the how as the why. and understanding the why creates the how.

I was so excited to buy this course . So far I have watched up to 10 lessons . I have listened to Jonathan talking a lot about himself , repeating the same things about himself in several of the lessons , doing a bit of charcoal sketching , and a bit of tonal layout but I'm still waiting for more practical advice and actual demonstrations . So far I haven't felt encouraged to pick up a brush - I live in hope that this will improve in the next 17 lessons - ask me again after I have completed the course .

It's an interesting insight into how a professional artist works. Mr Yeo is fluent and thoughtful. His exposition of the process of creating a portrait is thorough and easily understood. Most of all it's encouraging and enjoyable.
