What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course? Learn a new skill, Other
It was difficult to choose between 'Yes' and 'No'. The course is fine as a very long conversation/monologue and while this is interesting initially, now that I'm on video no. 11 it is becoming quite wearing. I'm starting to tune out as endlessly listening to his voice without much variation becomes monotonous. There may well be a lot of good and helpful information and learning in the course. However, the way people's brains are wired (and I think this is true and not just me) means there are some barriers to receiving that learning, I think. I will try to keep going.

I am doing a BA in Fine Art in my 50’s having not picked up a pencil since I was 16. I am a huge learning curve which I absolutely love and loved this course as part of the research I’m doing for portraits and self portraits. So easy to listen to and very inspiring. Thank you

What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course? Pursue a hobby
I found Jonathan so encouraging. I like that the sessions are broken up into small learning stages. He explains his ideas and his own progress very well while also encouraging us not to be afraid of trying different things, that there is no right or wrong way of doing something. It helps me to get over tht barrier of making a complete dogs dinner of my attempts. His approach is natural, fun , encouraging and informative. I am learning a great deal and would highly recommend this course to those starting out, trying to get their mojo back and even experienced painters who may have got stuck.

it's an excellent course and he withholds nothing in his experience of ups and downs so it's very encouraging. However it's hard to find sometimes! can you make an easier link to find?

Very repetitive. Short on solid, practical advice. I get the impression he's self-taught and that's the way he thinks we're best to learn too - this is not a course.
