“Yeo is clearly a brilliant artist and I greatly admire his work.
However, there is far too much talking in the course and not nearly enough instruction of technique and method.
When the lesson is just talking, which is often, the videos are too long and it is hard to remain interested. They become more about the different camera angles that the director is using and their ability to go in and out of focus.
I am impressed by Yeo’s work but would like more hard facts.”

“I am loving this course! I am very interested in portaiture and have sketched a few since childhood, but never been brave enough to attempt painting them, particularly with oils, the thought scares me! So, I am very impressed with the structure of this course with the addition of notes with all the lessons to download. Everythng is broken down and explained with great clarity and simplicity so even a beginner like myself, is already feeling less daunted after a few sessions. The videos are relaxed and informal, while the live demonstrations with a sitter are fascinating to watch.
