Thanks Oliver for a practical , pragmatic and well researched series of discussions. I had many ‘aha moments’ during this course, especially when looking at the number of rocks I have been trying to squeeze in the jar. This course was fun, enlightening and quite freeing, which I think were the intentions, so great job. Thank you!

Engaging and interesting course. Though I didn't learn specific ways of managing time, per se, I did get an interesting perspective shift and found the course enlightening and thought provoking. There are a few lessons that are worth a regular re-watch and that I think were extremely interesting on how our brains work and the sad way our world works. Enjoyed the course.

This is a great course and very timely for me. (No pun intended.) I found it really useful and relevant to my day to day work as a self-employed creator.

Oliver Burkeman very clearly articulates how I imagine a lot of us feel about time (like there's too much to do and not enough time to do it all in), and very practical ways to combat this and feel liberated. Oliver says himself that not all lessons within the course will be relevant to you, which I did find, however I was able to apply the majority to my own life and experiences. I primarily undertook this course to be able to manage my time better at work with a goal to reduce my stress, increase my productivity and ultimately get more done in a single day. Funnily enough, the main takeaway I've had from this course is to do less in a single day, and that somehow doesn't feel scary, it makes perfect sense. I've realised the two things I thought I wanted to achieve were actually conflicting; 1. do more in the day and feel like I'm making big progress every day; 2. slow down and feel more peaceful. I've also been able to apply principles of this course to relationships completely unrelated to work. I'd absolutely recommend this course - it doesn't teach you how to reorganise your to-do list line-by-line if that's what you're looking for (although there are practical tips included with examples on getting through tasks in your day/a given time period). It does teach you how to not put so much pressure on yourself to get through absolutely everything, how to not put so much importance on every decision we need to make, how to use your time less 'productively' in some cases and why this is important (pure-leisure hobbies), and to be more present and not tie a future goal to everything we do in the present moment. Thank you, Oliver!

What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course? Received as a gift
I am only about 2/3 way through the course but feel compelled to come here and share how much I am enjoying listening to all that Oliver has to say. His ideas expand way beyond simple time management into philosophies of how we spend our lives and how we react to time pressure. There is so much to take in and think about. It’s definitely worth giving full attention to each lesson. In fact, once I finish the course I will probably start again and take notes. That’s after I have found a painting and sat looking at it for 3 hours!

What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course? Learn a new skill
I wish these courses would get to the point sometimes faster, but that is one of the things Oliver talks about. Aside from that, I listen to him on my way to and from work (45 min each way) and he is very pleasant to listen to. I am taking his tips to heart.

I have learned so many positive ideas and “hacks” from this course! I need to watch it over many times to gain all the benefits. It has also confirmed that some things I do in my life to keep me sane, are in fact healthy ways to manage my time, focus and mental health.

This is not my first dive into time management but it is my first Maestro course. I found it extremely useful to be led through a philosophical way to think about time management rather than being given a list of exercises and templates one can either pass or fail. There are some concrete methods in here, and some tips and questions to answer, but that is not the focus. In my opinion he asks you to think about *why* you want to manage your time and the answers to that question lead in turn to a guide for how to prioritize what you are spending your time on. If you want to be better at time management because you feel you are only getting 6 hours of work done in an 8 hour day, this is not that course, but there are a ton of other books and systems out there for that. This is almost the opposite. I would add I feel lucky to have had this course be my first. I have bounced off a couple other Maestro courses since I began this one. I literally just finished this one and went to wrote a review because one thing I have learned is that in a multi-hour course it is imperative you find it pleasant to have that person on your ears for hours. His delivery is very personable and easy to listen to. Highly recommend.
