The Science of Eating Well with Professor Tim Spector Reviews

What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course? Learn a new skill
Firstly its expensive for what it turned out to be and I would not do it again as most of that content I have seen in other places by Tim. That said the content is interesting but was left wanting him to go deeper and wider on the various subjects. I would not recommed and you can find much of this on say the Zoe Health Study app and podcasts and content could go deeper and indeed wider.

What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course? Other
it is a good course but very slow and not a course, more just information. I learned most of this from watching Tim on Dairy of a CEO but I did find it got going after about the 1st 7. I am interested in nutrition and have a health background so I think this 'course' is better aimed at people that don't know anything.

Very passionate speaker - but he sometimes repeats himself unnecessarily which detracts from the course material a5 times.

The course acts as a reinforcer for those of us who have previously read Tim Spector's books, listened to Zoe podcasts or joined the Zoe programme. It's all good commonsense and eminently do-able. With my science educator hat on I'd have liked to see a more imaginative approach to presenting. It felt a little chalk and talk, a little Future Learn - if you know those courses. (Shots of face on talking head alternated with side view talking head.) Stand up, walk around Tim, and get the camera to do some cutaways to get the viewer to focus down. More detail, more science and perhaps just a touch of razzamataz.

Hey Mandy, Thanks for your review. We value every BBC Maestro customer, and really value your feedback. All courses have detailed course notes to accompany them, which a lot of learners find really useful when watching a course, especially when completing the course exercises. I hope these give you a little more of what you're after in the course! I hope this helps, but feel free to contact our amazing customer service team at support@bbcmaestro.com if you would like more support! Best, Rebecca

What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course? Pursue a hobby
It was good. I am already on the Zoe programme so have heard Tim speak a million times. But he laid everything out clearly for beginners. Plus gave a clear blueprint for what to eat.

I am interested in the gut biome and the relationship with UPF. There should be more education about the links to obesity.

Really excellent course. Explains the science, explains how digestion takes place and explains why there is so much sickness due to the trickery of the food and diet industries. Fascinating.

I think there might be some good content in the course but it is too slow. The first few lessons have told me nothing new and are quite patronising. Money for old rope? I just want to get to the good stuff which could probably be condensed into half the number of lessons. I'm finding it hard to keep awake even though I really do want to know what he has to say. Please stick to original content not dull low brow obvious stuff.
