It's not every day that someone distills a continuum of scientific findings and presents it in a way that can shift your thinking about the whole of your physical and mental health. A lot has been learned, in the last few decades, about the way that the human mind and body work. But there are very few scientists who can present the whole wave of it in a way that we can use so easily. There's no conceit here. No diet. No pretense that this is the be all and the end all of our learning. Just some simple guidelines about how to use the best of what we now know to our great advantage. To that end, I hope that a lot of people watch and learn from this course. It's an excellent work of true learning and teaching.

Way to long, as most of your courses. 1-3 sessions on a topic would be largely enough for me.

Really interesting course delving into the whys and wherefores of different foods and their effect on the gut microbiome based on recent groundbreaking research. I love cooking, avoid processed food where possible, bake my own bread (for that reason), buy organic where I can and have always preferred a Mediterranean-oriented diet, so I was relieved to realise my diet is a lot healthier than I thought! But Professor Tim Spector introduced numerous ways to radically improve aspects of it (such as incorporating fermented foods) and also explained the biology behind why certain foods had a beneficial effect and others did not. I feel I've learned so much from this course, thank you.

I love this. The clarity and coherence with with which Prof. Tim Spector speaks about previously indimidating knowledge and busts myths that for a long time have haunted and plagued me in my approach to food. Well done. My microbes are happier already.

Truly inspirational, I have started making changes to my diet already! The Royal Institution Christmas lectures 2024 on the same theme were excellent companion watching.
