“Some useful tips on structure, characterisation, etc. Good insight into how writers' rooms work and some tips/encouragement on how to network, pitch ideas, and build a portfolio.
My main criticism is that the course came from an LA perspective - inevitable given Bill Lawrence's experience and career. I would have prefered a maestro speaking from a UK TV comedy perspective.”

“I didn't find enough concrete advice. Also I found Bill Lawrence's constant, and I really mean constant, umming and ahhing incredibly irritating and distracting. He may be knowledgeable and successful but he isn't a good public speaker.”
