“I am enjoying this course to a point.
There is certainly much to be learned, though many of the recipes are completely unsuited to the average budget, or indeed the health of our bodies. Endless butter and fresh truffles for example.
He says (regularly) that he aims to inspire - but I can't say I found that. His very stylized delivery with lots of soft whispering and wagging fingers I found irritating and fake. Inspiration comes from passion and authenticity.
I would guess that it is more of a course for budding chefs than everyday cooks.”

“This goes far beyond a simple cookery series. In the first few videos we get to 'meet' Marco Pierre White, hearing his life story, how he was shaped as a chef and a person.
In the sequence of lessons for producing particular dishes that follow, we are introduced to his philosophy of cooking and receive gems of his distilled wisdom in each lesson. The food looks delicious and attainable, even though his skill and judgement is clear to see and fascinating to watch.
It's an entertainment, an education, and thoroughly enriching.”
