Marco had some useful tips and tasty recipes for certain..... although teaching us how to peel a potato was rather painful.... I find him difficult to listen to as a presenter but enjoyed some techniques and explanations as to why he was doing what he was doing. "It's as simple as that."

White shares his passion and there is no doubt as to his abilities. I loved this course but it didnt entirely meet my expectations. I can work on about 70% of the recipes offered and will return to the course for a refresh over the life of the program, 12 months. My own irritants? Chapters 1 to 3 is a personal diary and while interesting to many is not what I signed on for. Give me more recipes and methods anytime. I dislike whispering for dramatic effect, it bores me to have to wind on volume only to listen to folksy reminisence of the glory days of youth or being reminded to question what Im doing, tasting at every level of the construction. I get it. He is brilliant, persuasive and competent. Just lose the lecture and give up the recipe. As Chef White says, its all about service. So Sir, serve up the techniques, the recipes and lose the sermon. Its not the 70s anymore....gone. Gone, gone. Ps I love this cranky old bugger.

I was mesmerised by Marco Pierre White's ability to share his stories in such a truly engaging way. I learned so much more than cooking just listening to him. So much so, I binge watched the entire series and have been recommending to everyone. Thank you Marco for sharing your passion and life experiences from the stove. Your anecdotes were pricreless, especially the words of advice Albert Roux imparted.

I do not love MPW as a presenter but the information he shares is game-changing if you want to do more than just throw stuff together and feed the family. I have not yet cooked a single recipe from this course but since I started watching a few days ago, I have changed the way I do a hundred things in the kitchen from grating onions, carrots and garlic rather than chopping, cooking slower and thinking about releasing water, making a much better bechamal sauce etc. I will definitely be doing the avocado crab starter (so pretty), steak au poivre and trying his recipe for tomato sauce.
