This course is extremely well done. It's very educational, and it gave me all the tools I needed to write a few children's books that I feel proud of. Julia Donaldson is a legend, and it is very cool to hear her talk about examples from her books and other books.

This course is a gem! It exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Julia Donaldson is an amazing teacher; she engagingly presented each lesson, and lots of real-life examples were provided throughout the various topics. Thank you to the producers of this course for also giving me a taste of the world of literary agents, editors, illustrators, and screenplay producers. Many thanks go to Julia for sharing this abundance of information in such a short time and for encouraging others to write. My biggest "aha" moments were that manuscripts should be submitted without illustrations, and that publishers of children's picture books prefer texts that can easily be translated into different languages. In the end, the course inspired me to visit the local library more often and check out all the books available by Julia Donaldson as well as those of other writers she mentioned in the course. "The Gruffalo" was out on loan, which didn't take me by surprise.

I'm on lesson 18 now. She gives you a different view of PBs. She gives you insight as to how they came about and ideas you can use right away to make your writing stand out. It's refreshing to hear her instruct you on what really goes into a PB to make it more readable.

This course is worth the entire subscription. It far surpasses the Children's Literature course I had at university, and is really the only resource a person needs who aspires to write, sell, teach, or curate children's books.

The course is fantastic but the lagging with the videos are really frustrating. They take forever to load. Makes it hard to watch when it keeps pausing to load. Other than that the content is really interesting and engaging.
