“This was a fantastic listen that offered wonderful insight into Julia's unique journey and writing process. However, it might not be the most practical resource for new, unknown authors. Because Julia's path involved a bit of good fortune, the interview doesn't really delve into the gritty reality of how to get traditionally published from square one today. Still, it's an enjoyable listen for fans”

“Julia's course was my first introduction to BBC Maestro and it certainly did NOT disappoint.
Julia Donaldson's books were a favourite in our household when my son's were little, and there wasn't a night when at least one of her books was read. It was wonderful having a chance to listen to her explain how a children's picture book is created.
Her love and passion for creating children's books came through in every single lesson and she has shared a wealth of information encompassing the entire process from coming up with the original idea all the way through to publication and beyond.
Julia has made me believe that maybe, just maybe I might be able to give story writing a go and I'm thankful I saw the advertisement for her course and decided to give it a go.”
