“Excellent. I have to admit that when I started watching this course, I thought Julia had only written the Gruffalo (I know she will groan if she reads that). As a writer of gardening books and former teacher working both in 11-18 and then 3 upwards age groups, I found this course so interesting in so many ways. I now feel I have the confidence to write children's stories, even if only for my own grandson. It's something I have been thinking about for 35 years. Time to do it. The course takes you through everything you need to know, including some things you might not have thought about.”

“It was more casual than I thought. I expected more work exercises but this was just what I needed. Casual conversation-style delivery because I see now I will remember every tip! I LOVED this course. I didn't want it to end. I was very impressed with her in depth explanations of so many points. I can't imagine what she could have possibly left out. I read The Gruffalo afterwards and it was a perfect example of a well-rounded childrens book. Clever! Just what I strive to write someday. Great value for information in this course!
