“Rather than turn this review into another technical explanation of features and performance, I'd like to offer a users insights into ownership. I had been using a 27" i Mac Retina glossy display for 10 years for photo editing. I edit photos 99% of the time with almost no video using Photoshop, Lightroom CC and some plug-ins. Being a professional real estate photographer with success selling landscapes, animals and macro work, the time arrived that my processing power and monitor needed an upgrade. I chose the Mac Mini and the BenQ SW321C and BenQ GW2480 as a second dilsay. The SW321C monitor brings joy and satisfaction that is far greater than my expectations. It's easy to setup and is calibrated with the Calibrite Display Pro HL. The original calibration report that comes with the monitor shows impressive results but the proof is in the stats of recalibrations. I can have have one calibration for a white point D65 for screen proofing and another calibration set to D50 for proofing prints. The accuracy and control over the calibration process is so good that this monitor can serve a large variety of applications. This accuracy has given me unprecedented confidence in knowing that my colors, especially in real estate photos is unquestionably accurate. I look forward to post processing. The screen size is fantastic and offers even aging eyes an easy view. The screen coating was a concern before I started using it but the anti glare is so much better than the glossy screen of the I Mac 27" retina. There has been a noticeable increase in through put and decrease in fatigue. Purchasing this monitor is an investment with positive dividends and is the definition of a gift that keeps on giving.”
“I loved my NEC monitor, but as it's discontinued, I opted for this monitor for its size and the reviews. It works great, and I'm very happy with the size upgrade. The only thing I'm a little bothered by is the time it takes to wake up. The NEC and all my other monitors did not have any kind of delay in waking up.”
“I had purchased an SW320 5 years ago and it suffered a drop during a move. It began to show lines and slowly died. I loved the monitor while it was alive. Doing research on my next monitor, I could not find another brand or model that worked as well for me so I went with the SW321C. Hoping for better luck with this one but expecting it to last with no more moves or falls. The calibration software is great, works well with the i1Pro calibrator I use. Plenty of real estate. I need a camera and speakers, will go with the Ben Q Ideacam Pro.”
