“I’m so glad BenQ decided to build a pair of 24.1” WQXGA monitors (this one and the SW242Q). I compared this model to the SW242Q and a couple other 23.8” QHD monitors from other manufacturers before I bought three RD240Qs for a triple monitor setup to do spreadsheet and GIS map publishing work.
Text clarity is good and color is above average. The “coding” hotkeys seemed a bit gimmicky at first, but now I find them very handy to quickly toggle between color/sharpness/blue-filter options. 16:10 is invaluable for working spreadsheets in landscape orientation, and I’ve even started working on maps in portrait orientation (16:10 is a tolerable aspect ratio for working in portrait mode, compared to 16:9, which is ridiculously too tall to be useful).
Build quality is solid. I have them mounted on an Ergotron HX Arm with the Triple Bow and the mount is *at* capacity with these things hanging from it.
I wish BenQ would have chosen a less-matte coating for even better text clarity (especially since the SW242Q takes care of their photo editing customers), and I wish they would have offered the moon-halo and ergo arm in the 24” model. Other than that, I can’t imagine a better triple setup option for those who use their computers for work.”
