“These are described as 'low tensile carbon steel' however the material is very soft and brittle. The hex head/ flange can easily shear off in hardwood, even with an oversized pilot hole. once installed, over-tightening of a bolt will easily strip the thread/damage the insert. Probably fine in soft woods only.”
