“In comparison with Christy's discontinued 'Royal Turkish' towels, these are disappointing. The pile doesn't feel quite as soft or luxurious, and those wretched stripes are dreadful. They feel as if someone had glued strips of sandpaper across the towel - they're hard, they're harsh against the skin, and they don't dry anything at all. I've asked Christy if they'll be resurrecting their Royal Turkish range, but was told 'No, they won't'. So - sadly, no more Christy towels for us.”
“I bought Christy towels because the ones I bought 20 years ago are wearing out. They were Egyptian cotton, these Turkish ones are very different. The old towels have long soft loops, ultra absorbent and light. These have thick close short pile and heavy, I wish I could find towels like the old ones.”
“It's a nice design and is thick, almost to the point of being stiff, though a few washes should sort that out. But sadly it's surprisingly small for a bath sheet. They did state the sizes so it's my fault for not paying attention.”
