“A pretty good overview of NGFW services, both networking and UTM. I wish we could have a bit more time per lab section along with the ability to fully test (external connections inbound) to the GlobalProtect service. Also, the lab is incredibly slow in almost every aspect. I'd recommend to allot more resources to reduce the latency and time invested in those efforts and make the lab coursework more valuable.”

“The course was generally well-designed with useful information. It was better than some other technical training courses that I've taken. That said, I have a few suggestions for improvement. The course book and lab exercises had some relatively minor typos throughout; for instance, the labs sometimes said "modify zone [ABC]," but the zone was actually called [XYZ], and it seemed like the name had been incorrectly copy/pasted from a different lab. Or, in many cases, the high-level lab steps differed significantly from the detailed lab steps (so I had to flip back and forth between them in order to avoid mistakes and complete the labs successfully). In most cases, these were not major issues, but it did impact the quality of the material. The course would be better if someone went through and throughly proofread the course materials. Also, PAN presents the EDU-210 course as a comprehensive training for the PCNSA exam. The course did not cover Panorama topics, even though Panorama is listed on the exam blueprint. I took the PCNSA exam (and was able to pass it), but I found that roughly 10% of the exam questions concerned Panorama topics - so that is a mismatch between the course and the exam. My understanding is that course EDU-220 covers Panorama, but PAN does not list EDU-220 as a prerequisite for PCNSA. It would be better if the PCNSA prep materials were edited to be more accurate about what training was appropriate.”
