“Since it was a tailored class that combined two classes together, the labs were not carefully thought out. So I spent more time troubleshooting what was needed for the lab (prereq actions). This did however help me understand things better had it been just a straightforward lab. Sol was exceptional in helping all the students get their lab set up to where it should be. He knew exactly what was needed to get done and explained things to the students very well.”

“The Palo Alto training was detailed and thorough and the labs were extensive and instructive. The dual track for the labs (detailed instructions vs general assignments) allowed the user to tailor the labs to their experience level, which makes them appropriate both for more experienced users and beginners with Palo Alto products. This training was instructor lead, and the instructor was generally responsive and helpful towards requests. The illustrations and graphics used during the course were well-built and helpful in establishing a conceptual understanding of the material. The course did feel very condensed given the five-day time frame. Additionally, some sections were quite long, and this made them a bit overwhelming. The course might benefit from adding a couple of extra days. The labs were informative but required quite a bit of hand-holding and troubleshooting outside of even the detailed instruction track. It felt like they may have been a little rushed in stitching those together from the previous courses. Due to the cumulative nature of the material, the difficulty of the course increased towards the end. The course mostly focused on the Palo Alto firewall UI experience, which is appropriate given that it was aimed at system administrator certification. Overall, the course was a good review of some core networking and cybersecurity concepts and a thorough exploration of Palo’s firewall capabilities from a system admin perspective. The material was extensive and well-documented. They might consider adding two days or so to the course and reworking the lab instructions a bit to make them flow better.”
