“Not a snug enough fit and having to remove it to get the charging door open, it soon stretched and became loose enough to just harbout anything thrown up by the wheels and road. It also moves around due to this and lifts the screen protectors, rendering them useless after a few rides. Not sure why Cycliq would make something that you have to remove to charge the camera, perhaps so that there was a little water protection from the case, but I can't see it providing that at all.”
“I debated getting the case as I thought the protection would be minimal. Given the size of the openings, it does not provide any real moisture protection.
I am happy I purchased it because it protects against things I did not consider.
1. The cover protects from greasy fingers. Something that occurs with greater frequency than road splashes and rain
2. The tactile feel makes it less likely you will drop the Fly6 in the first place; I am not sure the case would provide more than scratch protection if you dropped the Fly6 from anything greater than seat height.
3. Between hiding the buttons and matching the seat and seatpost, the black silicon results in the Fly6 looking more like a regular taillight than a $340 camera, which I hope will make it less attractive to opportunistic thieves.”
