“Battery life is shorter than 12 so get home with front film and no rear video. However the resolution is excellent and small size is great. Again dislike the proprietary 1/8th turn mount with 4 road bikes swapping mounts is a bore”
“My review so far is that I live in Calgary Canada, and during the time I have had the camera, it has been mostly -20C, and we don't ride outside, so the camera looks cool on my fireplace mantle.”
“Easy to use however can't download videos unless directly attached or remove the SIM Card. With a relatively limited battery life, would be good to have a waterproof charging port. I had to encapsulate the entire connector area in silicone to accomplish this. Image quality is good but not great at capturing license plates. A higher resolution image sensor in a next generation version would be much appreciated. This is the best on the market at this point (which I could find), but definitely could be improved. Finally, would be great if it would ship with both a seat mount and a flat mount.”
“Overall, while my new Fly6 is performing well (as far as i know), I have one issue with it, which is battery life. So far, i havn't managed to get past 4 hours, which means that on a long training ride, the battery will run out. As i'm running a Fly12 as well, it would be useful if the battery life of the two products was equivalent (and as long as the Fly12, which is just acceptable for my use). I'd be happy to accept a slightly larger and heavier Fly6 to gain an extra 2 to 2.5hrs run time. If that was addressed, i'd score the new Fly6 5 out of 5.”
“In 50 degree weather, the battery barely lasts for a 30 mile ride. It doesn't appear that this battery is any better than the one I bought a few years ago. I will know more when trying longer rides this spring.”
“No way near as good as hoped. The lighting on the gen3 is not even close to the previous model I had. The battery is also not as good as before. I decided to get another tail light to use instead of the light on the Fly6. Kind of a shame for what you pay for it!”
